In recent years, we've seen Aubrey Graham quickly transform from his Degrassi acting years to his current profession, the hip-hop artist we know as Drake. Now, Community's Donald Glover is currently performing as Childish Gambino. Glover is an accomplished comedian and actor, but I had no idea he had musical skills. His new album, Camp, just dropped on November 15th. I will leave you with his recent performance on Conan, "Heartbeat"...it's dark, gritty, modern and catchy. Music Spotlight: Outasight
To the mainstream world, many first heard Outasight (real name Richard Andrews) through a Pepsi commercial that aired during the American debut of X Factor. But for those in the New York scene, they were well aware of him since 2007. He is described as a hip-hop artist with an electro feel. I'll admit, his single 'Tonight is the Night' is quite catchy and I initially thought it was just a Pepsi jingle until I heard it on mainstream radio. I can't wait to hear more from Outasight.
